Securex South Africa exhibitors gear up for 2019 show

From Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery.

As the opening day of the 26th annual Securex South Africa show fast approaches, this year’s exhibitors are preparing to unveil a host of new products and services to the thousands of visitors expected to attend Africa’s biggest security and fire focused trade exhibition.

Hikvision

Among them is Hikvision, who will proudly play host of the largest booth at Securex this year, and is using this space to showcase a broad range of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced security technology solutions, including the launch of a Wind Solar Hybrid power supply system, which has been designed for all kinds of wind conditions. These turbines can operate at a low wind speed, making more efficient use of wind energy with high power conversion efficiency realised due to mono-Si solar cell technology.

Hikvision will also be showcasing its Hikvision Acusense, ColorVu, and Smooth Streaming, as well as other solutions across several verticals including the Safe City Solution, Education Solution, and Community Solution, amongst others. The organisation invites delegates to check out its new AI experience, and also to see its Ultra Product Line.

Southwest Microwave

Delegates can also visit Southwest Microwave, who will be highlighting several products on stand.  The company will be hosting product demonstrations throughout the duration of the expo, bringing focus to its Intrepid range of sensor solutions, including the 336-POE, the MicroTrack II, which is a new-generation buried sensor, and the MicroPoint II, its new fence sensor.

Cash-in-transit

The South African National Security Employers’ Association (SANSEA) will be onsite at the expo to detail its purpose in relation to the people and the industry it serves. SANSEA is the only officially recognised body that represents employers in the guarding and cash-in-transit fields and is recognised by all authorities as the spokesman for these two professions. Visitors are invited to chat to SANSEA representatives to find out more about the association’s commitments and objectives in as far as the local market is concerned.

Arteco

Arteco will be unveiling the newcomer to its range of VMS solutions – OMNIA – at Securex 2019.  Arteco’s new user-centric UI, OMNIA has been developed specifically for use on the Universal Windows Platform and enables complete integration with Windows 10 and future releases, streamlining expansion and upgrade capabilities for end users.

Visitors to the Arteco stand will be able to view OMNIA at work, along with other solutions like Security Connect, which further demonstrates the company’s capacity to integrate an unlimited number of devices, including detection and alarm systems.

Artificial intelligence

ZKTeco, a provider of AI visible light facial recognition biometric technology solutions, will be using the Securex platform to launch its new Visible Light Facial Recognition tools. Visitors are also invited to view the solutions ZKTeco offers in access control, entrance control, security inspection and video surveillance.

Sensurity will be recruiting dealers and distributors for its Smart Radar Perimeter Detection technology, HALO, at Securex 2019. Attendees are invited to view detailed demos on the company flagship product, which offers the latest and most advanced technologies in intrusion detection solutions. HALO is empowered with innovations in Digital Signal Processing, antennae design and dual-technology integration, all of which gives the product an edge over previous intruder detection generations. A must-see at this year’s show.

Body guard in training

Ipeleng Risk Management Services, an accredited training operation that offers courses and competencies in ‘body guarding’ and firearms training, will be giving away a SASSETA-endorsed Close Protection Course. The course provides candidates with all the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work as a Close Protection Officer, including classroom lectures and practical field training exercise.

Access control

Centurion Systems has returned to Securex to highlight a full product line-up aimed at the commercial and industrial markets, including turnstiles, bollards, traffic barriers and a premium range of door automation solutions. Centurion may be best known as a manufacturer of gate motors but it will be using Securex to show visitors that the organisation looks well beyond this realm today.

Visitors will be afforded the opportunity to engage with Centurion product specialists, receiving top expert advice and guidance on how to address their security infrastructure pain points. Product demonstrations will be held throughout the day on the Centurion stand, showcasing the very latest technology and features. Visitors are also able to book one-on-one consultations with members of the team via an online portal hosted on the company’s website, https://www.centsys.co.za/.

Surveillance

Uniview will be highlighting its VMS technology offering at play, as the team promises to take visitors on a journey through the latest in cameras (LPR, 4K and Super Starlight functionalities), NVRs (incorporating the 128 channel) and its PC- and cloud-based software solutions.

Neomatica also aims to bring its ‘big guns’ to this year’s show.
